One Day Options

Mahadaye River Trek: In the dense jungles
of Jamboti trek along a local stream to reach its confluence in the Mahadaye
river. Here is where you can, in a short time & without much physical
taxing, experience the wild and experience the raw jungles of the Western Ghats . Its a one-way trek of about 4 kms at the
end of which you have plenty of time to rejoice in the cool & smoothly
flowing waters of Mahadaye
River . Way back your
vehicle is already there to pick you back from the end point.
Kalsa to Sural Trek - All Seasons, moderate
monsoons are the BEST: In the
dense jungles of Kankumbi region, this trek runs on the rocky bed of Kalsa
stream. Beginning at a point known as Kalsa in Karnataka, after a couple steep
ascends & descends the trek crosses the Kalsa stream for the second time which marks the border between Karnataka and Goa . Soon there is the Kalsa waterfall (actually
known as Barajanancha Vazar). Further, trekking through rocky river , one reaches the head of the Sural Waterfall
(actually known as Ladki Cha Vazar) which is about 275 feet deep. The virgin
valley in the canyon below is amazing and you involuntarily echo a wooooooww……!
Sada Trek - All Seasons, moderate
monsoons & Winter are Best Time: Right on the border of Karnataka, Maharashtra & Goa,
high on the peak & in the forests is nestled this beautiful village Sada. A
trek on a rough seasonal road through occasional dense forests takes you there.
The village has unmatched natural beauty. Then there is a fort supposed to be
built by the Kadambas centuries ago, a water fall and underground caves formed
due to volcanic eruptions. Typically shaped wells house the now tiny village
Sada. It’s not possible to explore the whole of Sada in just one day and we are sure,
you will come back here again and again.

Kendra Trek - Strictly Post
Monsoons Only: In the
dense jungles of Kankumbi region after a couple kms this trek is a steep
descend in a deep valley for almost two hours loosing a 2000 feet altitude. At
the base was village Kendra (now evacuated for Tilari dam) and post monsoon,
scenic beauty and wild life are at its bloom here while the Tilari river flows
gently.

Bhimgad Trek - Best in Winter: Probably the most dense forest in this region of the Western
Ghats , this has a fabulous wild life. The trek from village Gawali
gradually descends about 8 kms to a thin stream and then with ups & downs,
one reaches this mysterious fort. Mysterious
because, one always keeps wondering about the hows and the whys and many more
facts of the fort while there’s still a lot to be discovered here. Night halt
is made in a cave taking care of all safety measures.

Kendra Trek: 2000 feet deep in the valley, a night out here is simply double the thrill
& fun. The add-ons are a night halt in dome tents, camp fire, fishing in
Tilari river and the real trough ascent during the return trek.
